Farmer Ford
Some of you have been asking about the picture of Ford on our blog's homepage. My mom took these over Spring Break. My whole family made fun of me for buying Ford that tweeter shirt, but it really is what has made these pictures so good. So, here's some more of Ford in his farmer outfit!

Ford's 15mo Wellness Visit
So, my friend Molly inspired to blog about Ford's 15 month check up. I enjoyed reading about her daughter's (Lilly) milestones, so I thought I would share, too.
First off, a bit about our pediatrician, Dr. Roy. He's an MD, but he practices functional medicine, which is very important to our family. Basically, it's a holistic view of medicine. Dr. Roy visits with the whole family (mainly sits there and talk with Ryan about words I don't understand!) and he genuinely wants the whole family to be happy together. Overall, we all LOVE Dr. Roy and he puts with my helicopter moments:) His practice isn't typical, it's only him and nurse Melissa. They don't book patients on top of one another so we don't sit in a waiting room with other kiddos. We love that the whole practice is focused on us while we are there!
Our little guy weighed in at a whopping 20.8 lbs. He is 32.5 inches tall and his head is 18.5 inches. He hasn't gained a whole lot of weight, but he has gotten quite a bit taller. Dr. Roy was impressed with our little man and he even got to witness one of Ford's tantrums.
Ford isn't quite talking. We know for sure that his favorite thing to say is "wassat" for "what's that". He points at everything and says "wassat?" Sometimes he says "ba" for ball and da for "dog" but other than that it is really just jibberish! I can't wait to hear his little voice though!
He is obsessed with dog and he LOVES to tell them no. This is done by pointing one finger in the air and saying "uhh uhh uhhh" over and over again. When our babysitter takes him on walks, she says he rides with his hand in the air, finger pointed the whole time. He's the loud dog police!
Overall, we love our little bundle of joy. I could really do without the tantrums, though! :)

Big Brother Ford
Well, it's official! Ford is going to be a big brother. Baby Frace is due October 30, 2009. Ryan and I had been trying since last summer, but I didn't know that it was difficult to get pregnant while nursing. I stopped nursing Ford in January and BAM, it just happened. I'd been feeling really nauseous and tired. We just thought I had a bit of a bug. Ryan went out of town and my mom was here with me. We'd run some errands and I was exhausted. Finally, it hit me! So, I went to the store and bought and test and it was positive. Sorry for all the description, but I've never had a positive urine test before, so I was REALLY excited. That was on February 26. I told my mom and Ryan and they were both pumped! Of course, big brother Ford has NO CLUE what's going on. This will be interesting, to say the least...

Grandma Linda comes to town...
Ryan's mom, Linda, came in to town to relieve us of some parental duties. It was Ryan's birthday gift, and a great gift at that! She was supposed to arrive on Thursday, but because of the darn blizzard she wasn't able to get here until Saturday. We had a great visit with her. We went to the zoo, to the mall, and we were just able to get in some quality time with Grandma Linda. Thanks Linda! We loved having you here and can't wait for your next trip!

A winter wonderland...in March???
Well, folks, we just had a blizzard! Yes, a blizzard. In March. I know... nuts, right? Our backyard total was 16.5 inches! We woke up to a blanket of freshly fallen snow and it was just beautiful! However, it's not so beautiful for the driveway. In Colorado, if you don't frequently shovel your drive during snowstorms, it can be disasterous. The snow will melt in layers leaving a blanket of ice. So, poor Ryan had to shovel 4 times during the day. Luckily, our sweet friend (he's a sophomore in high school) down the street was out and about helping neighbors in need. While he and Ryan shoveled the first time, I got Ford's snow suit (thanks Gramps and Grandma) on and we went on an adventure. He had a great time!
We planted daffodils in the fall and they'd just started to bloom. So much for
a colorful yard!
He was not a happy camper at this point. He'd just fallen down, poor guy!
a colorful yard!

Valentine's Day in Oklahoma
Ok, please forgive me. It's been a really long time since I've gotten on here. I gave up facebook for lent, and facebook is how I normally remember to update my blog. Well, I cheated last night and signed on. So, here I am...
My best friend since the 4th grade had her baby (the precious Chesney Ann) in January. Over Valentine's Day weekend, Ryan, Ford and I took a trip to the great state of Oklahoma to see the little cutie pie! And, boy, is she CUTE!!!
It was a very quick trip, but one that we thoroughly enjoyed. Ryan went to a fight at Remington Park with Mark, Matt, Bub and Matt's friend Chase. Ford went to bed and I stayed home and hung out with my mom, Alli and Grammy Glo. We also hung out with the Walcher/Lee clans for some great food and special times with family. The majority of our weekend was spent with lil miss Chesney, though. Ryan and I haven't been around a baby for so long that we'd almost forgotten how to hold her, rock her, etc. I'm used to proping Ford on my hip and telling him to hang on. Everytime I held Chesney I just felt awkward! She's too cute to care, though!
I have to say, I am SO PROUD of Brooke. Mommyhood suits her soo well. She never gets frustrated and takes everything in stride. She is such a good mommy and Ches is one blessed lil girl!
Well, I promise to get on here more often! I do have some pics to post of Ford so maybe I'll do that tomorrow:)
Look at cute she is! I love you, Chesney!

See, I told you I can't remember how to hold a baby. I've scared the poor girl!
I got a little smile out of her, though!
