Fireman Ford

I'm posting some more pics (I know, I know) from Ford's party. I feel like there's not a ton of cute, modern party themes out there for boys. The girls have the party market cornered:)
Please excuse the photography. I'm still learing how to use my D60.
The goodie boxes read "thanks for a blazin' fun party"

Well, Ford's party was a success! I had so much fun planning it! Here are some pics of the big day.

Let the celebration begin...

We took Ford out for birthday pancakes this morning. We went to the Huckleberry. Ryan and I had breakfast here after every single one of my OB appointments while I was pregnant with Ford. Over breakfast we reminisced and enjoyed watching Ford play with his monster truck from Kailyn.

His big party is going to be on Sunday. After all the craziness that was Christmas, I needed as much time as possible to pull this off. Those pics will come soon. In the meantime, here's some pics of the big boy enjoying some of his gifts

His "monsta truh" from Kailyn.

Opening his steering wheel game from Grandpa Marvin.

Ryan picked this model barn out all on his own. It was by far Ford's favorite gift!

Uncle Carl and Aunt Janet sent Ford some birthday money. But, he had way more fun with the stickers on the card! Thanks guys, it's going straight in the college fund:)

To Ford, With Love

On this day two years ago, you entered the world and my life forever changed. I never knew how much I could love someone until you were born. I thank Jesus for you, my sweet and precious son, everyday. I pray that your 2nd birthday is full of love, laughter, happiness and Gord's grace. I pray you find the good in every situation and that your cup is always half full. I pray you have your dad's common sense and level head and that you bring calm to stressful situations. I pray you learn compassion, honesty, truth and integrity. I pray you love the Lord your God with all your heart and soul and every ounce of your being. I want you to always love your brother, and stick up for him when kids are mean to him. I pray he does the same for you. I pray that Daddy and I have the strength and conviction to raise you to be a good man and that we are good examples for you even when times are tough. I pray all of this for you because I want you to be the best you can be. You are already the most perfect you we could ask for! Happy birthday, son. Mommy, Daddy and Sutton love you to infinity and beyond!

Go Bronchos!

I am SO proud of my little brother. Well, actually he's my "big" brother now, measuring 6 feet, 5 inches and weighing in at 200 pounds! He recently transferred from Oklahoma State to the University of Central Oklahoma where he is playing Division II Basketball! You can view him here.

Not only is he playing college ball, but he has so much eligibility left that he is able to get his Masters Degree in Accounting. I'm so proud of him for chasing his dreams and going after what he wants out of life!

Happy Birthday Chesney!

Today is my best friend's daughter's first birthday! Chesney Ann, we love you and miss you and we hope all your birthday wishes come true!

SeeSee

Ford is starting to talk a lot more, but he still has his own way of saying things. He can't say "brother" or "Sutton" yet, so he calls Sutton "SeeSee". It sounds like he's saying "sissy" and it is HILARIOUS! Every morning when Ford comes upstairs, he climbs in to bed with me while I'm nursing Sutton, points at him and says, "SeeSee", and gives him a great big kiss. He's also been into holding him lately. Here's the two of them cuddling in our bed this morning.

Book Worm

Ford LOVES to read. He will read anything, including a Thomas the Train catalog. He sits and stares at it for hours. Ok, well, not hours, but for a really long time. The only thing Ford will do for hours is sleep.

5 days...

My little man will be 2 in 5 days! I just can't believe it! I've had so much fun with all these posts the last month. It's allowed to take a walk down memory lane and enjoy Ford all over again. Here's the little man at his 9 month photo session.

Jaba the Hut

With all of my posts about Ford, I've neglected our newest member of the Frace Family. Sutton, aka Jaba, is doing really well. He's recovered from his RSV and only has a bit of a rattle in his chest now. His reflux is getting much better, though we've had to up his medicine to keep him comfortable. He'll be 12 weeks old on Sunday and I can't believe that it's been almost 3 months since he came in to this world! He started smiling at 5 weeks and he is such an easy baby. Though he isn't sleeping through the night yet (his hospital stay got him off rhythm), and we're pretty sleep deprived, we are trying just to enjoy every little minute of him! Here's a pic of his smilin' face. Isn't it cute???

Some of Ford's "Firsts"

This is Ford's first airplane ride. We went to Oklahoma in May of 2008.

Ford's first time swimming! This was in Oklahoma in May of '08 as well.

In June 2008, we took at trip to Cabo with my family. This trip served as many of Ford's firsts. It was his first international trip, his first time to eat solid foods (guac and bananas) and his first time to sit up by himself!

Ford's first 4th of July!

This is Ford's first time crawling. He started crawling on August 13, 2008. He was almost 7 months old.

The FaceBook Experiment

I'm sure most of you gals that are on facebook saw all your female friends posting colors as their status. Well, seeing all of that today really got me thinking. Do we, as women, underestimate our powers and capabilities? I had friends in California, Oklahoma, Texas, Colorado and SWEDEN posting their color, or acknowledging what the color was for. They all varied in age...some are 19 and 20, some in the mid-twenties and some ladies were in their 30's and 40's. The ladies that participated came together for a "lame" (haha Jessie:) little game, but just imagine what we could all do if we united for something serious and for a cause. I truly believe the possibilities are endless. I'm personally going to commit to do something more, just not sure what that is quite yet. Regardless, here's to all my gal pals and their colorful status!

Another Comparison

This is Ford at one month old...

Do you think Ford and Sutton look alike?

Ryan and I have no clue who Sutton looks like. He makes certain faces that remind us of Ford and we know for sure that Sutty has Ryan's eyes. Sometimes we think he looks like my mom. Tell me what you think. Do my boys look alike?

This was taken on 3.28.2008. Doesn't he look so sweet?!?!?!

The RayTray

So, most of you that know me really well know that I am obsessed with Everyday Italian and At Home with Giada. I love, love, love all things "Giada". One of them happens to be her one-of-a-kind RayTray by Chilewich. Well, guess what...I GOT ONE! I am SO excited!

I had been hunting and hunting for this thing for forever and I finally found it on Foodnetwork.com. They have "set lists" for all of their shows. I was totally bummed when it said "custom made for Giada", so I emailed the company and BEGGED them for one. They replied and said that they had a few left that they produced for MoMA (Museum of Modern Architecture), but that it wasn't all-white like Giada's. The ones they had left were green, white and black. I was bummed but bought it anyway.

When we got home from Christmas, there was another package from Chilewich. I'd already received my RayTray, so I was very curious. I opened it to find the all-white inserts just like Giada's! They'd sent it to me for Christmas! Can you believe it?!?!?!

Now if I can only get the rest of her kitchen:) haha!

Ford's First Trip

When Ford was almost 2 months old, we decided to take him on his first trip to Oklahoma. Being the helicopter mom that I was (ok, ok, still am) with him, I convinced Ryan to drive us there. Now, from our house to my mom's house it's 692 miles, roughly 10 hours. That's one LONG drive. So, we decided to break it up and drive half at night and let Ford sleep all the way through and then wake up the next morning and drive the other half. We also took Romey (aka Diva Dog) with us. That being said, we were forced to stay in a dumpy, dog-friendly hotel in the middle-of-nowhere Kansas...aka Hayes, Kansas. Well, when we arrived at 2am, I found a spider in my bed. YUCK!!! Needless to say, we ended up hightailing it out of there after Ryan took a brief nap.

This is one of my most favorite pics of Ford. He was SO sleepy from that trip. We got to my mom's about 10am and he passed out.
My cousins Ford (holding Ford) and Garrett.
